THE HARDEST DAY – SUNDAY 18 AUGUST 2019 AT THE TRIBUTE ON THE AIRFIELD
Join us for this annual event to commemorate the events of 18 August 1940. Weather and availability permitting we hope to once again have a flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Please check back here for more information towards the end of July; at present the flypast is expected around 13.23 hrs.
This year we are expecting the Lancaster, escorted by both a Spitfire and Hurricane. From Midday, Kenley Revival Project will have a stall with a small display about Kenley’s “Hardest Day” at The Tribute, which is the best place to view the flypast.
Very limited parking is available on Hayes Lane. As a RAFA member you may can park at the Portcullis Club, space permitting. Please have your membership card to show if requested. The Club will be open from noon.
As ever, the flypast is dependant on weather and the serviceability of the aircraft. This event is free.
Please refer to the Kenley Airfield Friends Group’s website here for updates on timing.
